A Sweet Collaboration: Designing a Dessert Pedestal for Kuwait

Kuwait is a country of refined luxury, modern elegance, and pristine organization, defying expectations at every turn. We were honored to collaborate with SELECT KUWAIT, a premier brand based in 360 Kuwait—the nation’s most luxurious shopping mall—to design a bespoke dessert pedestal for their signature chocolate cake.

This project challenged us to adapt our design sensibilities to meet the client’s distinct tastes, blending elegance and practicality in a way that resonated with Kuwait’s unique aesthetic. Exploring new materials like marble and glass, we crafted a pedestal that was both visually striking and functional. With 50 units produced in Barcelona and shipped to Kuwait, balancing cost-efficiency with high-quality craftsmanship was crucial. As Hiroshi often says, “Creating something beautiful is easy, but making it functional, efficient, and beautiful is the true challenge.”

The collaboration was an enriching experience, pushing our team to embrace cultural differences and expand our creative horizons. Working closely with SELECT KUWAIT deepened our understanding of delivering designs that transcend borders and resonate universally. The client’s satisfaction was the ultimate reward, proving that great design fosters connection and joy across cultures.
